Salmon Filet with Bonfire® Extra Bold Smoked Sea Salt

Richly flavored with Bonfire® Extra Bold Smoked Sea Salt, this quick and easy salmon makes a divine dinner. Grilled or roasted in the oven, it's delish when served with a spritz of lemon, rice pilaf and fresh steamed asparagus or broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 2 skinless salmon filets, about
  • 6 ounces each 2+ teaspoons olive oil, for brushing
  • ½ medium white or yellow onion, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Bonfire® Extra Bold Smoked Sea Salt, or to taste
  • Fresh cracked black pepper to taste 1 small lemon, sliced into wedges

Cooking Directions

For grilling

  1. Pre-heat grill to medium heat. Brush salmon on all sides with olive oil and season with Bonfire Smoked Sea Salt and fresh cracked black pepper. Place the filets directly on a clean and well-oiled grill.
  2. Grill each side for about 3-4 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees. Serve with lemon wedges.

For oven roasting

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F. Brush salmon on all sides with olive oil. Place the filets on a parchment lined baking sheet or baking tray.
  2. Season salmon with Bonfire Smoked Salt and fresh cracked black pepper, to taste.
  3. Bake salmon in oven for about 8-10 minutes or until the filets flake easily with a fork and the internal temperature reads at least 145 degrees on an instant thermometer.
  4. Serve with lemon wedges.
