Pico de Gallo with Fusion® Chipotle Salt

Vine-ripened tomatoes, of course, are the star of any good pico de gallo recipe, providing the perfect base to support the onion and cilantro. In this version of the old classic, we balance the bright lime juice with the naturally deep and smoky chili flavors of Fusion® Chipotle Salt, bringing a completely new twist to the old classic. Infinitely customizable, add fresh jalapeño peppers or garlic. Get out the chips, dip deeply and enjoy.

Ingredients

4 vine-ripened tomatoes, cut to a small dice
½ red onion, grated or finely diced
¼ jalapeño, finely diced (optional)
¼ cup chopped cilantro
Juice of 1 lime
¼ teaspoon Chipotle Salt

Cooking Directions

  • In a medium bowl, mix together tomatoes, onion, jalapeño and cilantro.
  • Squeeze the lime juice over the top and mix in the Chipotle Salt, being careful not to crush the tomatoes.
  • Place in the refrigerator for about an hour to marinate the ingredients together.
